What Is Supported Independent Living?

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is an NDIS-funded support designed to assist people with disabilities and psychosocial needs to live independently while receiving help with daily living activities.

SIL is commonly provided in shared accommodation, where participants receive support in a home with 2–7 residents, each having their own private bedroom. Support can also be delivered in a participant’s private residence, depending on individual needs.

SIL support includes:
